A few years ago, I found myself in a place I never expected to be.
I was overweight, dealing with Type 2 Diabetes, high blood sugar, stress and low energy. Like so many people, I tried diets, routines and quick fixes. Some worked for a while, but nothing truly lasted. I felt frustrated, tired, and disconnected from the person I wanted to be.
Then something changed.
Spending time in Spain with family reminded me of a different way of living. Meals were shared, food was fresh, people moved naturally and life wasn't rushed. It wasn't about dieting. It was about enjoying life again.
Slowly, things began to change.
I lost 20 kilos.
My blood sugar improved.
My energy returned.
And most importantly, I got my life back.
That journey became the inspiration behind Casa Miguel and my book, The Mediterranean Reset.
I don't believe health should feel like punishment.
I don't believe in strict diets or impossible routines.
I believe food should nourish and bring joy.
I believe movement should be simple.
I believe life should feel lighter.
That's the Mediterranean way of living.
